Cryogenic tanks

A tank designed for operation at temperatures below -153 °C is called a cryogenic vessel. The equipment is suitable for liquid nitrogen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, liquid oxygen, LNG, argon and helium. The design is a hermetic double-walled vessel consisting of:
  • an inner tank made of cold-resistant austenitic stainless steel;
  • an outer metal jacket made of low-alloy, carbon or corrosion-resistant grades of steel;
  • inter-wall vacuum-powder or screen-vacuum insulation;
  • shut-off and safety valves and fittings;
  • sensors and pressure gauges (instrumentation);
  • other components.
The materials must eliminate the risk of leakage and ensure the integrity of the contents.

Applications

The modern economy is impossible to imagine without cryogenic products and storage tanks for them, which are used in various industries:
  • metallurgy, thermal power engineering, oil and gas sector;
  • agriculture;
  • food industry for processing food raw materials;
  • space industry as storage tanks for cryogenic products.

How to choose a cryogenic tank

The following characteristics are important when purchasing cryogenic tanks:
  • intended use, as reflected in the marking;
  • capacity in cubic metres;
  • mass of the liquefied product.

About the company

The production and design of cryogenic tanks in Russia is carried out by LLC “RusGazKrio”.

The company offers cryogenic tanks:

  • for storing liquefied gas with a capacity from 5 to 100 m³;
  • isothermal tanks with a capacity of up to 1,000 m³;
  • for transportation of cryogenic products (tank containers) with a volume from 17,500 to 26,000 litres.
LLC “RusGazKrio” is the official representative of Hangzhou Oxygen Plant Group (China). Our company’s additional services package includes warranty and after-sales service of the equipment, diagnostic operations and service life extension. You can purchase a cryogenic tank, including for oxygen, by submitting a completed request form on the website.
