Description

Mechanical shaft seal Designed to seal the space between the equipment housing and the shaft passing through this cavity, preventing leakage of pumped liquids. The sealing assembly gradually replaces the gland packing due to its lower probability of working medium leakage and reliable protection against wear of the shaft and bushing surfaces.

To prevent damage to the mechanisms, the end seal must be replaced in a timely manner.

Construction

One ring of the mechanical seal is fixed to the housing or flange, while the other rotates with the shaft, moving in the axial direction. Both elements are made of wear-resistant materials and have a low friction coefficient.

Precision products are classified according to the following criteria:

• working environment conditions: liquid or gas/dry;
• seal location relative to the working environment: external, internal;
• design: component (consists of two assembled modules), cartridge (is a single complete assembly unit);
• Schematic solution: single or double end seal of the pump, depending on the severity of the requirements imposed on the equipment.
